West Ham United is interested in Lopeztegui
West Ham United is in talks with Lopeztegui, and he may replace Moyes as the team's new manager in the summer, according to The Guardian.
Lopeztegui has been unemployed since last summer and has been on West Ham United's radar for several months. It is reported that fruitful negotiations have taken place between the two parties. However, a final decision has yet to be made. The 57-year-old Spaniard has other options as well, as he has been in talks with AC Milan to replace Pioli.
Lopeztegui has not gained widespread acceptance within West Ham United. Some within the club believe he may not be suitable for the team, and they feel the team needs a younger head coach.
Sporting Portugal coach Amorim flew to London on Monday for talks with West Ham United, and intermediaries also recommended Lille coach Fonseca to the club.
Moyes' contract with West Ham United expires at the end of this season, and the club wants to make changes to avoid his departure.
